Whole Grain Breads

At Bäckerhaus Veit, we make a conscious effort to follow all research and nutrition trends and findings. There is medical evidence that whole grains reduce risks of heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes and obesity.
What are Whole Grains? In their natural state growing in the fields, whole grains are the entire seed of a plant. This seed (which industry calls a "kernel") is made up of three key parts: the bran, the germ, and the endosperm.

Our new whole grain bread recipes have been designed to offer both the sound nutrition of whole grains as well as the variety and wholesome natural taste.

Significant publicity has surrounded the benefits of whole grain foods as recommended in Canada's Food Guide and outlined in the Whole Grains Council guidelines. Considerable growth in consumer demand is expected and Bäckerhaus Veit is among the first to provide a variety of unique breads to meet these needs.
