Crusty Breads

Like a fine wine or cheese, Artisan Crusty Breads are hand crafted in the traditional manner. Each variety has its own history based on the region it was originally developed. For example: Pane Mediterranean - a simple white crusty bread made with a sourdough starter, allowed to rest to develop structure and taste, hand formed and baked in steam injected stone plate ovens to develop a significant crust and lock in the moist, slightly chewy interior. To this day the bread of the Mediterranean region is still the same, produced in the same manner.


The difference between bread and great breads are Artisan Crusty white breads. Each one unique, they will upscale any retail in-store bakery or deli. Many are hand formed and cut with differing patterns. These breads are open structured and have full body taste. Bäckerhaus Veit even bakes them to a perfect colour. Simply defrost and bake-off or bake right from frozen. There is never a need to run out of stock or have stale at the end of the day.
