Whole Grain Breads

At Bäckerhaus Veit, we make a conscious effort to follow all research and nutrition trends and findings. There is medical evidence that whole grains reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes and obesity. What are Whole Grains? In their natural state growing in the fields, whole grains are the entire seed of a plant. This seed (which industry calls a "kernel") is made up of three key parts: the bran, the germ, and the endosperm. Our new whole grain bread recipes have been designed to off both the sound nutrition of whole grains as well as the variety and wholesome natural taste.

Significant publicity has surounded the benefits of whole grain foods as recommended in Canada's Food Guide and outlined in the Whole Grains Council guidelines. Your end users have become more educated and are concerned not only about taste, but the nutritional value of the foods they consume and are willing to pay a premium for the combination. Our new whole grain breads are suitable for all meal occasions (dinner table, sandwiches or meal accompaniment).
