Crusty Breads

Like a fine wine or cheese, Artisan Crusty Breads are hand crafted in the traditional manner. Each variety has its own history based on the region it was originally developed. For example: Pane Mediterranean - a simple white crusty bread made with a sourdough starter, allowed to rest to develop structure and taste, hand formed and baked in steam injected stone plate ovens to develop a significant crust and lock in the moist, slightly chewy interior. To this day the bread of the Mediterranean region is still the same, produced in the same manner.


The bread basket has evolved....no longer is there a need to put soft breads or rolls on the table. Today consumers tastes have evolved and so has the need to offer flavourful and attractive Artisan Crusty breads. Ideal for sandwiches with a home made look.
